The Evolving of Indian Feminism

Women, they said, are the weakest beings made by God,
Bridging this gap covers a spectrum so broad!
Where we were to what we are today,
Knowing this massive evolution, all would certainly applaud!

She can’t be intellectual, or as resilient as men,
but the seeds of feminism were sown way back then!
Be she Sita, Draupadi or a woman like Gargi so valiant,
Surviving sati, child marriage, and what not, from history- medieval to ancient!

No more suppression, not even being subdued,
women always at forefronts, an enormous transformation being viewed!
Active participation for freedom struggle, still grappling for rights to be equal,
From a frail one to being fierce, developing to an autonomous individual!

Today marks an enormous shift from the roles very traditional,
Triumphing over the taboos, breaking the bonds so stereotypical!
Science, finance, defense or even the most unimaginable task,
You’ll find women excelling, in every sphere you ask!

Though we’ve made a remarkable stride, but confrontations continue to remain,
Keeping up the toil, to dismantle patriarchal structures and discard the pain!
Growing from reformist, nationalist to a movement absolutely multifaceted,
Feminism in the nation, furnishing equality which was then lot fragmented!

The modification to a dynamic and inclusive society is truly phenomenal,
Being as complex as the country itself, acknowledging identities and making us unstoppable!
Visualizing an unmatchable era of the civilization,
Becoming the Vishwaguru and treating all alike, reaching our final destination!
