Lello Bookstore

There are bookstores, and there are dream bookstores. I had the fortune of visiting a dream bookstore earlier this year. It is in fact the most beautiful bookstore in the world, and it goes by the name Lello Bookstore. It is located in Porto, a beautiful city in Portugal. Along with Bertrand in Lisbon, Lello is one of the oldest bookstores in Portugal and is rated among the top bookstores in the world. Its history goes back to 1869.

Not only is the bookstore breathtakingly beautiful, but it is also the inspiration behind some of the famous Hogwarts scenery in Harry Potter.

The store stands out for its heritage, architectural and cultural value. The gothic architecture, with its stone carvings and religious-looking paintings, makes it look more like a church than a bookstore from the outside.
