Unseen, Yet Unbroken

She’s the one, to be always there,
Be it someone’s need to get even a lil care.
The first hellos or the last good byes,
To help everyone she truly tries!

Emotional, practical or let it be a moral support,
She’s ever ready to be patient and to sort!
The despair but lies within,
Coz she has a presence- just so thin!

Neither is she unloved nor uncounted or unwanted,
She’s just unseen, making the situation haunted!
She cries silently- not expecting something in return,
But deserves at least a reaction for her genuine concern!

Her heart is still open- ready to heal,
But shouldn’t we be courteous enough to know her pious feel?
She’s unique in her own way- never like some others so rude,
She’ll shine surely, though at times she was made to get exclude!

Yet so optimistic, yet so hopeful,
Without any special applause, she’ll herself be cheerful!
At a point where she’s alone but not lonely,
Her actions will positively revert to her slowly!

A listener and a good supporter,
She’ll then also be there whatever be the matter,
You call her and she’ll again be ready,
But her absence one day will bother, because of her efforts so steady!

Beautifully penned, Kriti! I hope someday you will write about her turning some part of all that attention, all that care to herself first, before she offers it to others. Then, being unseen doesn’t matter, for she sees herself 🫂
